Biography

Was born in McAllen, Texas. His love of music initially lead him to playing Alto and Soprano Saxophone and teaching music. Later in life he became interested in salsa and took classes from world renowned instructors such as Alex De Silva, Eddie the Salsa Freak, David Stein, Troy Anthony and Salmon and Rosio, studying all forms of salsa from L.A. Style, Mambo to Casino Rueda. When he was introduced to Bachata, he realized this was the perfect dance for all dancers. Its simple step patterns would allow dancers of all levels to be expressive and connect emotionally. This dance has evolved from a basic four step dance into a very sexy yet more elaborate dance. Jorge starting introducing his style of Bachata to world with his Learning to Dance Bachata instructional dance dvds. Jorge has 5 very successful dvds with volume 6 and 7 coming out by the end of September 2006. By now Jorge’s Bachata Syllabus has grown to over 50 combinations for one on one dancing or Bachata Rueda. He is now regularly traveling all over the World to spread Bachata and Rueda de Bachata. For Jorge, dance is more than a job or a hobby, but rather a life altering experience that continues to have an impact on him every day. He just loves social dancing and teaching, and hopes to somehow implement a difference in the lives of those attending his classes and buying his Learn to Dance Bachata instructional dvds that have sold worldwide.
