I Love Bachata

Biography

Anna fell in love with Bachata early in 2005 whilst she was in the Dominican Republic. Shortly after she set up the very first Bachata Club in London where she has been teaching and playing Bachata on a weekly basis ever since. The club attracts Dominicans and dancers from far and wide who share the same passion for the music and dance.

She has drawn great inspiration from her travels in the Dominican Republic as well as her native Italy where Bachata is well established. Anna has trained with dance teachers in both these countries and is familiar with the different styles of Bachata that have emerged. She likes to mix both European and Dominican style Bachata in her teaching and would love to see Bachata grow in the UK as much as Salsa has!

Anna has close links with the Dominican authorities in the UK and so performs and teaches Bachata with her team on a regular basis for both the Dominican Republic Tourist Board and the Dominican Republic Embassy.
